Lights Out Please on Saturday Night

Earth Hour 2009 is this Saturday, March 28th from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. Wherever you are in the world you can participate in the event by simply turning out all of your lights for one hour. Your light switch is your Vote. Earth Hour began in Sydney Australia in 2007 and has grown into a global movement with 50 million participants in 2008. The goal for 2009 is to present the 1 billion "votes" to the leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.



The Earth Hour site is filled with additional information on how to help spread the word, hold your own event and also has great downloads for posters, stickers and more. If you sign up for email they'll even send you a reminder before the event!
